Rev. Msgr. William Harms

Msgr. Harms has been the Pastor of the Parish Community of St. Helen since the year 2000. Prior to this position he was Vice President for Planning at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ for 6 years before which he held many positions of increasing responsibility since he was Ordained in 1965.

Msgr. Harms earned a B.A degree from Seton Hall University, a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning from Rutger's Univ., a Master's degree in Divinity from Immaculate Conception Seminary, a Master's degree in Group Process from Seton Hall Univ. and a Doctorate in Church Management from Drew Univ.

Additionally, Msgr. Harms is currently a member of the Archdiocese of Newark Stewardship Committee and Presbyteral Council as well as the Coordinator of Parish Task Force; Schools Task Force. Msgr. Harms has been the recipient of several awards, a Presenter at many workshops over the years on various topics and is the author of 8 articles and a book on Parish Planning.
