lunch dutyNew Lunch Duty Program for 2015-2016 School Year -As you know, the safety of our students is our first priority. Getting volunteers to provide coverage for lunch and recess is getting increasingly difficult. We often have trouble filling the required spots and times when no parents show up for their shifts. Beginning with the 2015-2016 school year we begin a new “opt-out” program for lunch duty. Families will either have to work lunch duty once a month, or opt-out of lunch duty by paying a $90 fee. The opt-out fees will allow us to hire two lunch duty aides to work in conjunction with the parents who choose to work lunch duty. This program is for the Westfield Campus at this time. Mountainside Campus details are still being worked out and more information will be forthcoming. Detailed information will be sent to you on the new program in the August mailing. Please email Erin Jacobs with any questions. erin.jacobs16@me.com.

house tourAre you a home lover, a decorator, contractor, or just a homeowner? The Kitchen Tour Committee is about to begin another home search for the 2015 Hearth & Home Kitchen Tour. We are hosting our 6th Annual Kitchen Tour on Saturday, October 17th, and we are looking for potential homes in Westfield / Scotch Plains and surrounding areas. The homes can be small or grand- brand new or a century old. The focus of the tour is the kitchen, the “heart of the home,” so we choose homes that have a newer kitchen (finished within the last 8 years). Our guests who attend the tour every year (over 400!) prefer to see a variety of kitchens and decor, so we look for everything from a country kitchen to sleek modern kitchens. If your home was recently refurbished, or if you have a client, friend, or neighbor who might be willing to put their home on the tour, please contact me for more information! This is a wonderful event and fundraiser for our school, as well as a fantastic business opportunity for the local businesses who participate. You can call me at 908-232-3288 or email me at robyn.kelly@verizon.net. Thank you for your help~ Robyn Kelly
