Holy Trinity Interparochial School 2011 Blue Ribbon School of Excellence
November 2015
Dear Parents,
Thanksgiving Day is approaching and we all are talking about family, food and football. Let’s be sure to include faith on that list. Thanksgiving is the perfect teachable moment to demonstrate to our children that we are living our faith through our gratitude for our own blessings and our generosity to those less fortunate than our families. During the month of November we will be collecting turkeys for families in Newark, honoring veterans at our Veterans Day Prayer Service, welcoming senior citizens from Sunrise Senior Living to read to us and preparing ourselves to thank God for the many blessings bestowed on our families. Thanksgiving, Advent and the Christmas season is the time of year when we can easily involve our families in generous acts of charity and prayerful gratitude for our many gifts. I hope you use this month to teach your children to live their faith.

Lunch Duty for K and Prek-4
This year the Westfield Campus has instituted a program that mandates parents either pay a fee or volunteer for lunch duty. The fees cover the expense of hiring a lunch aide. We have tried to avoid doing this program at the Mountainside Campus but if we cannot safely supervise the students we will have to consider this option. Please volunteer.
Observation Days, Wednesday, November 18 and Thursday, November 19
Please mark your calendars to observe your child’s class and the many options you have for next year. You are encouraged to visit all classes on Observation Days and get an understanding of the entire Mountainside Campus experience. Following observations Ms. Wickwire and Ms. Walsh will make a presentation about the Kindergarten and answer your questions about the HT Kindergarten program.
Do you love the Holy Trinity Mountainside Campus?
Please share the information we have distributed with your friends, family and neighbors. My experience has been that families who tour here because of your recommendation join the Holy Trinity family, so speak up and encourage friends and family to come to the Stay and Play, Nov.10, take a tour or come to our Open House.
