Health Policy Reminder:
Cold and flu season is upon us so please be aware of the health policies in place at Holy Trinity School. See the school website for the full policy but below are a few important points.
- If your child has a fever above 100.4 please keep them home from school. Do not medicate them and send them to school as they are still infectious.
- A child who is vomiting, has a fever or diarrhea is to be kept home from school until at least 24 hours after the last episode. Children should be able to eat full meals without vomiting and have good energy levels prior to returning to school.
- If your child is sent home from school with any of the above symptoms they are to be kept home the following school day. A full 24-hours without symptoms is necessary prior to returning to school.
- Absences of 3 consecutive school days require a doctor’s note upon returning to school.
Returning to school too early often leads to relapse so please make sure your child is completely recovered prior to returning to school. Following these guidelines decreases absenteeism for all students and staff.Thank you for your cooperation.
ATTENTION CURRENT 5TH GRADE PARENTS:
The Tdap & Meningococcal vaccines are required for entrance into 6th grade in accordance with NJ State Immunization requirements. Both of these vaccines must be given by the first day of school in September 2017. There is NO GRACE PERIOD for these vaccines. Please use the time between now and September to have these vaccines given. Please submit documentation of the vaccines to my office before the start of school in September.
Beginning in 6th grade Sports Physicals are also required for all students participating in school sponsored athletics (Cross-country, volleyball, basketball, track, etc.). This is a NJ State requirement. The sports physical form REPLACES the Holy Trinity School physical form.
I will be sending written notification to all current 5th grade parents about these requirements. If your child has their annual physical scheduled in the coming months, please have the sports physical form completed at that time. All forms should be submitted to my office as soon as possible to avoid a delay in sports participation in September. Please call my office if you have questions about these requirements.
