Catholic Schools Week is a national celebration of the choice we make to educate our children in a Catholic faith-based program. The activities last week demonstrated the dedication of our HTS Mountainside Campus families to building and sustaining a Catholic school community that provides the children, faculty, staff, parishioners and family members with a truly exceptional experience in Catholic education. Kristen Sonnek-Schmelz and Crystal Moriarty led a committee of talented and dedicated parents in creating a magical, faith-filled week. The hundreds of volunteer hours that went in to last week was an amazing outpouring of generosity and cooperation, culminating in our Grandparents/Special Persons Day. There was amazing energy and excitement in the building all week and Friday was the pinnacle. Thank you to the CSW Chairs, Kristen and Crystal, and their amazing committee chairs and all of the many, many parent and community members who contributed to this amazing and successful week, a true demonstration of living our faith.

Yoga Program for PreK-4 and Kindergarten
The students in our Kindergarten and PreK-4 classes have begun Yoga classes with Mrs. Jessica Bruder, a certified Yoga instructor. The children and teachers will use the techniques learned in class to enhance their classroom experience. Mrs. Bruder stated that one of her goals was to help “…to create an atmosphere of confidence, enthusiasm and non-competiveness, where everyone can succeed.”
