May 25, 2017
May has been an exciting and busy month. From the May Crowning to our Walk-A-Thon on May 31, we have celebrated our faith and new life in many ways. Father Michael, St. Helen’s pastor, led a beautiful Easter prayer service, the PreK-4 visited our Buddies at the Westfield Campus, we had guest readers from Sunrise Senior Living, and we have celebrated our Moms at the Kindergarten Mother’s Day Tea and our parents at Mrs. Hazard’s Parent Breakfast.
The HT’s Art Show was an outstanding display of our students’ talents and next week we celebrate Catholic Education with our Buddies at the Westfield Campus. The PreK-4 shared their newly hatched ducklings with their friends in all of the other classes and everyone is witnessing new life with the developing butterflies in every class.
Each of these activities celebrates our school community’s growth and learning throughout this year. Every year is a special milestone for each child in this building. They have learned to share, be kind and how to express themselves through art, music and language. Some have learned shapes, numbers, letters or how to read. But most importantly, they have learned about God’s world, prayers and importance of their faith and how to be resilient, empathetic and responsible Catholic children. That is the reason to celebrate.
I am looking forward to the fun and joy of the next few weeks. I will enjoy seeing you at the Walk – A – Thon, Field Day, the Clap Out and the Kindergarten Celebration and Family Picnic.
Thank you for all of your support this year.
