Dear Parents:

During January we are collecting “Pennies for Patients” to aid in a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma in children.  Every penny or coin is a value. It may seem insignificant and sometimes avoided on the street but they all add up. Please save and send them in with your child.  Our Tag Day on January 12th is also designated to this important organization. We have been doing this in January for several years and look forward to helping again.  It will run from January 8th to 30th.

God Bless you,

Sr. Maureen

On January 31st, Officer Elizabeth Savnik from the Westfield Police Department will offer an important presentation to students and parents on the problems that come with the use of social media.  “A Social Media Guide for Parents” will be presented for guardians and parents in the Music Room/ Aftercare Room from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Students will be hearing an age-appropriate presentation after the presentation to parents on January 31st.

Sometimes our children know more than we do and they shouldn’t. We hope parents will take advantage of this opportunity to become aware of the problems faced by young people in regards to social media and its effects on all aspects of the children’s lives.
